REGULATION AND ETHICAL STANDARDS

ArmorGroup believes that its procedures and ethical standards are the highest in the private security industry and we work diligently to ensure this remains the case. We also have stringent procedures in place to ensure our employees act at all times within the relevant international and local legal frameworks

ArmorGroup subscribes to the following codes and legislation drawn up by sovereign governments and international agencies:

  • Universal Declaration of Human Rights, 1948.
  • Code of Conduct of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent, 1994.
  • US Foreign and Corrupt Practices Act, 1997.
  • UK/US Government’s Voluntary Principles on Security and Human Rights, 2000.
  • United Nations International Mine Action Standards, 2001.
  • UK Anti-terrorism, Crime and Security Act, 2001.

ArmorGroup North America has the requisite security clearances to conduct business with the US Government and maintains a number of major Department of State and Department of Defense contracts including protective security for the US Embassies in Afghanistan, Ecuador and Nigeria.

We also discuss sensitive contracts with relevant departments of the UK’s Foreign & Commonwealth Office to ensure there is no conflict of interest with UK Government policy. ArmorGroup also maintains a number of major UK Government contracts including the provision of mobile and static security for UK Government personnel and sites in Kabul and across Afghanistan.

ArmorGroup has a comprehensive Quality Management System and a clearly defined, formal ethical policy in place which details how each of our activities can be conducted and these are fully audited by external agencies on an annual basis. The Group is certified to ISO 9001: 2000 and ISO/IEC 27001:2005.

ArmorGroup is also recognised globally as a leader in the drive for regulation of the private security industry. ArmorGroup was instrumental in the formation of and remains heavily involved in the the ongoing development of the British Association of Private Security Companies (BAPSC).
